Co-project of CAS and University of Fribourg

06 Jun 2006

was approved by SCOPES, a Swiss academic programme for cooperation.

Since 1990, the Swiss National Science Foundation (SNSF), together with the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC), has conducted a programme of scientific co-operation with Eastern Europe. The CHF 33 million invested so far are an important element of the technical co-operation for science and research. The circle of partner countries eligible for support is based on the relevant politically-motivated focus of the federal support for Eastern countries. In 2005 a new call was issued and 150 new projects and partnerships were accepted, which will run until the end of 2008.

Part of this Call for Applications Round was the CAS-University of Fribourg Project "Institutionalization of Scientific Networks and Scholarly Activities for the Promotion of Cross-Cultural and Inter-Disciplinary Approaches on Nationalism in the Europe of Small Nations".
